The film tells the story of a young Russian-born American entomologist, Michael (played by the Israeli actor, David Henry) on an expedition to South Ossetia to film the rare Olympius Inferno butterfly. He is accompanied by a childhood friend from his distant Russian past, with whom he has been reunited after many years, and the photo-journalist Zhenia (Polina Filonenko). As they are filming the butterfly, the Georgians launch their sudden night-time assault on South Ossetia, and the two manage to capture the attack on film (and on Zhenia's camera). Horrified by what they see (the film spares no details in its vivid depiction of the atrocities carried out by the Georgians), they carry on filming in order to record the events for posterity. When, however, they try to show their evidence to a western reporter, he is dismissive and remains wedded to his "distorted" pro-Georgian version of events...

When the children of American astronauts vote to name a new spaceship after Herman's Hermits, NASA assigns scholarly Edward Lindquist to follow the British singing group to ascertain if they are worthy of such recognition. Included among the thousands of screaming young girls pursuing the Hermits is Cecilie Bannister, a publicity-minded movie starlet. In Los Angeles, Herman and his group slip away from the protective Lindquist for an evening of fun at an amusement park. There Herman meets attractive Louisa Page, who invites him to a lawn party her mother is giving for charity. The affair nearly turns into a riot when the Hermits begin to sing and Cecilie and a swarm of teenagers crash through the police gates. Belphegor is a mini series directed by Claude Barma in 1965 based on Arthur Bernede's 1927 novel of the same name. It follows the story of a mysterious 'ghost' appearing in the Louvre at night, and the people around it who try to solve the mystery. The main characters are Yves Renier as Andre Bellegarde, Christine Delaroche as Colette Menardier, Rene Dary as Commissioner Menardier, as well as Juliette Greco as Laurence. Andre is a young university student, who, interested with the mystery of the ghost, takes it upon himself to lead his own little investigation. Colette is the commissioner's daughter, and she finds herself in love with Andre. As for the commissioner, he is the head of the official investigation, given the fact that there was a murder, presumably done by Belphegor. As for Laurence, she is that femme fatale who gets involved with Andre, but we learn almost from the get-go that she is also connected to the whole ghost shindig.
