Writer-director-cinematographer John Waters's shocking, divinely decadent early 1973 movie is gleefully cheap, cheerful and amateurish in the Andy Warhol vein, and showcases an outrageous star turn by his friend, the divine Divine (real name Glen Milstead).

Sleaze queen Divine plays the 'filthiest person alive' — and that means filthy — who lives in a caravan with her crazy hippie son Crackers (Danny Mills) and her 250lb mother Mama Edie (Edith Massey). The plot has Divine fighting it out for the accolade 'filthiest person alive' with her challengers, the Marbles, Connie and Raymond (Mink Stole, David Lochary), a couple who impregnate female hitchhikers and sell the babies to lesbian couples.

A full-on mix of absurd and gross-out humour, this ultra-bad taste camp classic from the then outrageous gay director John Waters is hilarious for those depraved enough to share its absolutely disgusting and revolting sense of humour. Those with delicate sensibilities beware – you'll need a strong stomach for Pink Flamingos and its comedy take on a wide range of perversions shown in explicit detail.

Helmut Lohner really excels in presenting this amusing love story on stage. The gorgeous set (mainly designed in red and gold), the elegant costumes (with an accomplished mix of traditional costumes and Parisian evening attire, which perfectly reflects the mix in Lehar's composition), and the presentation of the characters (with a shrewd eye-twinkling) add up to a formidable whole.

Cabiria is an aging prostitute in Rome, and she uses her toughness to ward off police raids, talk down to some of the other more aggressive prostitutes, and make sure that her clients don't jerk her around.
But at the same time, Cabiria is weak, and she's not just looking for some quick cash. She wants to be loved, and her job leads her to many potential clients or lovers. In fact, the film finds her in a month-long relationship as the film begins, only to lose it all suddenly and have to go back to her profession.
The rest of the film recounts her adventures in Rome, looking for true love and a new life.

Nights of Cabiria is a beautiful and heartbreaking film.
It's not just the amazing perfomance by Giullietta Masina, it's not just the wonderful, semi-crazy characters wondering around the screen and emphasizing Kabiria's sad and lonely world, it's -and that's the film's greatest quality- this sense of optimism that Fellini wants the viewer to take with him/her as he/she is leaving the theater.
This is a must-see film, and, most important of all, a film so generous to its viewers that one time is not enough.

Tokyo, 1954. A daring gang of thieves hijacks a joint U.S.-Japanese army train under Mt. Fuji, bringing Army cop Capt. Vintage "ripped from the headlines" TV-series Deadline originally aired from 1959-61, dramatizing stories that were pulled straight from the headlines, standing in stark contrast to our current era of the President decrying that the media are "fake news". Back then newspaper reporters were portrayed as courageous seekers of truth and justice, heralded by the police for their bravery in digging down deep and exposing the murder, arson, mob activity, crooked politicians and other crime-related happenings. Each hard-boiled half-hour episode is introduced by Paul Stewart (Citizen Kane), then gets into each fast-paced and gripping episode.

Bertrand Blier's Beau Pere nicely conveys the director's thematic interest in the hold women have over men. When 14-year-old Marion's (Ariel Besse) mother dies in an automobile accident, she makes a concerted effort to continue living with and to seduce Remi (Patrick Dewaere), her mother's 30-year-old boyfriend. If this story line sounds at first like an exotic soap opera, be advised that it turns into something quite different.

Blier does a remarkable job presenting the ways in which men prove to be pawns in the chess game of love. Ariel Besse's multileveled performance as the child nymph is especially intriguing when placed alongside Dewaere's vulnerability as Remi. Similar to The Woman Next Door, this film contains a surprise ending.

Pierre Delacroix (DAMON WAYANS) is an African-American TV executive for the Continental Network System who's been assigned by his white boss, Dunwitty (MICHAEL RAPAPORT), to come up with a groundbreaking TV program that will showcase black talent and draw back the millions of viewers who've been tuning out.

Due to Dunwitty's overbearing and self-proclaimed grasp on being black, Pierre decides to concoct the most offensive and racist show he can imagine, hoping to get himself fired in the process. As such, he reinvents the minstrel show and hires two local street performers, Manray (SAVION GLOVER) and Womack (TOMMY DAVIDSON), renames them Mantan and Sleep 'N Eat, and casts them in "Mantan: The New Millennium Minstrel Show."
