After the American B-52 bombing of Kham Thien Street and Bach Mai hospital, little Ngoc Ha's family is shattered. Her mother has died trying to save children in a kindergarten, her seriously-injured younger sister is brought to a hospital, and Ngoc Ha encounters a variety of strangers as she wanders the war-torn streets of Hanoi looking for her father. A kind soldier helps her in her search. Looking at burned-out Hanoi, she remembers the warmth of her home, the fun her family had at the amusement park. The film intends to describe the sorrow of war. The movie uses actual footage.
