The film is set in the aftermath of world war two in the Sudetenland in northern Moravia. Adelheid is the story of Viktor Chotovicky a Czech airman who has returned from service in the Royal Air Force, who is given the management of an enormous German estate. Adelheid Heidenmannova is the daughter of the former owner who is imprisoned for his crimes. She is assigned to be the servant to Viktor, living in a camp for German women who usually have to go and work the fields. Adelheid and Viktor are gradually attracted to each other and although neither speaks the other's language, they begin a tentative - but doomed - affair.
A compelling love story that transcends the absence of verbal communication highlighting the pain of a country in defeat, Adelheid was also the first film to controversially address the Czech treatment of German's during the expulsions of the mid-1940's.

The film tells three different stories of three different genres with quite different styles. The point in common for all of them is A+, an independent music show that happens to be the goal for all the characters but by many different circumstances.
The first story tells us about a young couple of drug dealers that get themselves in serious trouble with local mafia and have to run away from home almost naked and with two packages of cocaine in their hands. The second one is a funny story held by magnificent comedians Fernando Ramallo and Eloi Yebra about two young guys that star a funny trip to A+ in a lousy sidecar a friend of them got. The third story is a soft and elegant tale about generational miscommunication represented by a father that tries to get close to her daughter by bringing her to A+.

This mad and boundless love will lead Almayer to his definitive downfall. He will end up a king of tragedy, mad and almost blind beneath the unrelenting sun.

A kind soldier helps her in her search. Looking at burned-out Hanoi, she remembers the warmth of her home, the fun her family had at the amusement park. The film intends to describe the sorrow of war. The movie uses actual footage.

A couple days later the friend dies in a fiery car accident, and the journalist suspects foul play. He goes to America where the friend had been working as a kind of celebrity spokesman for a sinister company called "International Chemical". With the help of an American journalist friend played by John Ireland (who hilariously restricts himself to checking out the guy's strip club connections), the protagonist begins to interview his friend's wife and various people he knew, worked with, and/or slept with in America in an effort to solve the mystery.
