'Giorgino' tells the story of Giorgio, a young soldier returning from the First World War, having been struck down by mustard gas. Ailing, he seeks the orphans he used to care for. Discovering that they'd been displaced due to the shelling, his journey leads him to the quiet town of Chanteloup.
There he discovers that all of the orphans have died under mysterious circumstances, with conflicting claims that they'd drowned or that roaming wolves had eaten them. There is even the allusion that their doctor may have poisoned them. Giorgio intends to find out the truth, however elusive it may be.
The isolated villagers, all of whom are women (except for the town priest), are not helping to shed any light on the mystery; there's a definite air of madness floating about. Meanwhile, Giorgio becomes infatuated with Catherine, a childlike young woman ensconced at the heart of this tragedy.

Jamie (Eduardo Blanco) is an executive who suddenly finds himself without a job during the crisis. He has a middle-class lifestyle – a nice home, a wife and two children, and an elderly mother-in-law he supports. When the money crunch hits, Jamie's wife, Dorita (Silvana Bosco) decides that the best course to take is to sell the apartment currently occupied by Jamie's elderly mother (China Zorrilla), and then to help expenses, Jamie's mother is supposed to move in to the now-disused maid's room. Dorita and her mother pressure Jamie to approach his mother with the news.
When Jaime visits his mother, he finds her surprisingly stubborn on the issue of moving out. When Jaime finally pins down his mother long enough to explain his financial dilemma, she refuses to move out of her apartment, citing the fact that her boyfriend is moving in with her. At first stunned by the news that his mother has a boyfriend, Jaime agrees to meet the new man in his mother's life.

The revolutionary British New Wave films of the early 1960s were celebrated for their uncompromising depictions of working-class lives and relations between the sexes. Directed by Tony Richardson, a leading light of that movement, and based on one of the most controversial plays of its time, A Taste of Honey features Rita Tushingham in her star-making debut role as a disaffected teenager finding her way amid the economic desperation of industrial Manchester, and despite her absent, self-absorbed mother.

Lonely teenager Jo (Rita Tushingham) lives with her neglectful, promiscuous mother (Dora Bryan) in Manchester. After a brief romance with a black sailor, she finds herself pregnant, and her mother is too busy getting married to a lout (Robert Stephens) to pay much attention. Rather than living as part of an unhappy family, she opts to move in with her gay friend Geoff (Murray Melvin) and form their own version of a family.

Tony Richardson's A Taste of Honey is a truly groundbreaking film that, among other things, is largely responsible for the legitimization of homosexual characters in mainstream British cinema. It is based on Shelagh Delaney's popular play of the same name, which Richardson had previously staged.

She accepts a date with a popular boy at school but on the way to meet him she passes a beautiful blue-haired older girl and later that night, after losing her virginity to her date, Adele masturbates about this mysterious girl. On a trip to a gay bar with a homosexual friend, Adele is approached by the girl, who reveals herself as Emma. Captivated by her beauty and knowledge of art, Adele falls for Emma and the two embark on a passionate relationship...

Based on Julie Maroh's graphic novel of the same name, "Blue is the Warmest Color" takes its time while fleshing out two stages in Adele's life -- before and after high-school -- across nearly three hours of deliberate, expressive filmmaking, capturing the intimacy and intensity of her burgeoning sexuality.

In December 2011, filmmaker Martin Scorsese travelled to Poland to accept an honorary degree from The Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz. During his stay in Poland, he met with Jedrzej Sablinski (a digital restoration expert, now DI Factory CEO), and discussed the digital restoration in Poland achieved within the KinoRP project. In the months following this visit, with the help of The Film Foundation executive director Margaret Bodde and The Digital Film Repository CEO Maciej Molewski (now with all DOTS), the idea of a North American tour of a series of restored Polish classics came together. From an extensive catalogue, Martin Scorsese chose twenty-one masterpieces.

Premiering in New York City at the Film Society of Lincoln Center on February the 5th, 2014, the series featured films from some of Poland's most accomplished and lauded filmmakers, spanning the period from 1957-1987. Each film has been brilliantly restored and digitally remastered to 2K resolution, and brought to the standards of DCP distribution. The program was created by Martin Scorsese's non-profit organisation The Film Foundation, organised in partnership with the National Audiovisual Institute of Poland, and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland, the Polish Film Institute as well as Kadr, Tor and Zebra film studios.

The Great K & A Train Robbery (1926) DVD5

Silent screen Western star Tom Mix portrays a detective investigating a series of train robberies in this fast-paced, stunt-driven oater filmed on locations at Colorado's Royal Gorge. Mix poses as a masked outlaw in order to infiltrate the outlaw gang behind the robberies, only to discover that their leader is the secretary (Carl Miller) to the railroad president (William Walling). Along the way, the hero falls in love with the president's daughter (Dorothy Dwan).

One of the best of the silent Tom Mix films with plenty of action and some fantastic stunt work. Re-mastered at the correct projection speed and a fantastic orchestra track added by Lou McMahon.
