"A Summer's Tale" is the third part of veteran French film director Eric Rohmer's series called "Tales of the Four Seasons." Unlike his most recent films about young females, this one focuses on a young man and his romantic entanglements.

A handsome student, spending the summer in a borrowed apartment on the coast of Brittany, finds himself torn between three young women: Lena, whom he pines for, who was supposed to join him but hasn't arrived; Margot, a smart and charming waitress who is only interested in friendship; and Solene, a vivacious friend of Margot's who's ready for a summer fling but demands to be treated with deference.
