Next up is Aaron Altman (Albert Brooks, Taxi Driver), an intelligent, cynical reporter and Jane's best friend. Jess Franco's Count Dracula is definitely one of the more literal adaptations of Bram Stoker's original novel.

Opening in 1897 Transylvania, we meet young lawyer Jonathan Harker as he travels by train to meet with Count Dracula (Christopher Lee, who needs no introduction!) who is in the midst of purchasing a gloomy old building in London where he intends to relocate to. He ignores the warnings of locals not to go to Dracula's castle.
After a rather shaky coach trip to the castle, Harker meets the Count, a noble looking grey haired man who seems nice enough despite some quirks. That night, after dinner, Harker finds that he's been locked inside his bedroom and he knows that something is amiss. Soon, Harker finds out that Dracula is in fact a vampire and that he drinks the blood of the living. Harker manages to escape from the castle alive and get back to England. There he meets with a man named Professor Abraham Van Helsing and the two of them discover that Dracula has already made the move and is operating in the area. Who first victims?

Spike Lee brings the life of African-American leader Malcolm X (an intense Denzel Washington in an Oscar-nominated performance) to the big screen in this sprawling, epic biographical drama. Born Malcolm Little, son of a Nebraska preacher, on May 19, 1925, he became one of the most militant leaders and charismatic spokesmen of the black liberation movement before his assassination at the Audubon Ballroom in New York City on February 21, 1965. The film sweeps through his early life as a small-time hustler and thief with his friend Shorty (Lee), his conversion to Islam in jail, and his subsequent life as a controversial spiritual leader and husband of Betty Shabazz (Angela Bassett). Malcolm's tragic assassination is presented as a conspiracy of Nation of Islam leaders; the film shows how his philosophy has been realized in the lives of others who have been moved by his words. Filmed with great visual flair by Lee, the film is a work of entertainment as much as it is a historical artifac t. Washington captures the spiritual conversion of the hero with a sincerity that is entirely as believable and ultimately moving as it was in the book that inspired the film, "The Autobiography of Malcolm X".

The second disc contains an entire 90 minute Oscar nominated documentary from 1972 Malcolm X.

Blackadder is still regarded as one of Britain's all-time great sitcoms, uniting as it did some of generation's hottest comedy talent, giving mainstream breaks to the likes of Ben Elton, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, and propelling Rowan Atkinson to legendary status.

One of the best comedy series ever to emerge from England, Black Adder traces the deeply cynical and self-serving lineage of various Edmund Blackadders from the muck of the Middle Ages to the frontline of World War I. In his pre-Mr Bean triumph, British comic actor Rowan Atkinson played all five versions of Edmund, beginning with the villainous and cowardly Duke of Edinburgh, whose scheming mind and awful haircut seem to stand him in good stead to become the next Archbishop of Canterbury -- a deadly occupation if ever there was one. Among tales of royal dethronings, Black Death, witch-smellers (who root out spell-makers with their noses), and ghosts, Edmund is a perennial survivor who never quite gets ahead in multiple episodes. Jump to the Elizabethan era and Atkinson picks up the saga as Lord Edmund, who is perpetually courting favour from mad Queen Bess (Miranda Richardson) and is always walking a tightrope from which he can either gain the world or lose his head. Subjected to bizarre services for her majesty (at one point, Edmund is asked to do for potatoes what Sir Walter Raleigh did for tobacco), Edmund -- like his ancestor -- can never quite fulfill his larger ambitions. The next incarnation we encounter is in late-18th-century Regency England. This time, Blackadder is a mere butler to the idiotic Prince Regent (Hugh Laurie in a brilliantly buffoonish performance) and is caught in various misadventures with Samuel Johnson, Shakespearean actors, the Scarlet Pimpernel, and William Pitt the younger. With a brief stop in Victorian London for a Christmas special, the series concludes with several episodes set during the Great War. The new Edmund is a career army officer, but a scoundrel all the same. Shirking his duties whenever possible and taking advantage of any opportunity for undeserved reward, this final, deeply sour, and very funny Blackadder negotiates survival among a cadre of fools and dimwits. No small mention can be made of Atkinson's supportin g cast, easily among the finest comic performers of their generation: besides Laurie and Richardson, Stephen Fry, Tony Robinson, and Tim McInnerny.

Debut director Ross Ashcroft offers up an independently-produced documentary in the form of Four Horsemen (2012), a film that attempts to explore the consequences of modern western practices that have resulted in the current financial crisis. The 'four horsemen' of the title are a series of chapters exploring social inequality, organised violence, debt and poverty control. The central thesis of the film is that these four factors are propelling the world into a meltdown of monumental proportions for future generations.

Four Horsemen unashamedly puts forward a clear agenda, recognising the need for drastic change in global fiscal policies to prevent devastating the next generation. For those who have little knowledge of these issues, but a general interest in the state of current global affairs, this film provides a great introduction to the subject.

Four Horsemen uses a simple concept in its presentation. It takes 23 "Global thinkers", including Noam Chomsky, Gillian Tett, Max Keiser etc. and gets them to explain what they believe caused the recent financial disaster, what effect it is having and what needs to change for the western world to come out of the hole it has dug for itself. The film is broken into segments similar to these headers with the interviewees giving their thoughts through talking heads mixed with stock footage and some specially produced graphics used to illustrate some of the more complex financial aspects.
